56 year old man seriously injured in collision on A27 near Chichester

Sussex Police are appealing for witnessess after a man was seriously injured in a collision on the A27 near Chichester in the eary hours of Saturday morning.

Emergency services were called to the Tangmere Roundabout shortly before 2am to reports of a single vehicle collision on the eastbound carriageway.

The road was closed for several hours whilst Sussex Police and the emergencies services dealt with the incident.

A 53-year-old local man, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or the events leading up to it, or who has any relevant dash cam footage.
