Police are appealing for witnesses after a high-value burglary in Bognor Regis.
Two men are thought to have broken into a jewellery shop in The Arcade at around 2.15 yesterday morning.
Items worth thousands of pounds were taken before the pair left the scene.
A vehicle, a black Range Rover Evoque, was later found set alight near the A29 at Slindon that is believed to be linked to the theft.
Inspector David Bulger said: “This was a high value theft from a jewellery shop in the town centre.
“Thieves forced entry into The Arcade via the High Street, but damage was also caused at the entrance in Belmont Street.
“We are appealing for witnesses or anyone in the area with relevant information such as CCTV, doorbell, mobile phone or dashcam footage to come forward.
"Officers remain at the scene while this matter is investigated. We understand this may cause some inconvenience to adjacent businesses but we appreciate their cooperation and patience while we complete our enquiries.”
Information can be reported to Sussex Police online quoting serial 71 of 11/11.
