Police are appealing for witnesses after a suspected road rage incident in Petworth.
Officers say an 82-year-old man was confronted and assaulted by the driver of a black Ford Fiesta in The Street in Lodsworth, at around 5.40 pm on the 20th of October.
The suspect is described as a tall man in his 30s, wearing a shirt and trousers.
Officers are investigating the incident, and are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward.
In particular they wish to trace a member of the public who stopped to check on the welfare of the victim, and may have seen what happened.
