A man’s body has been discovered in the search for a missing person after a boat crash near Portsmouth Harbour.
The collision occurred last Thursday evening.
While formal identification has not yet taken place, the man’s family have been informed and continue to be supported by specially trained officers.
Police say file will be prepared for the coroner.
One man, believed to be from Emsworth, died at the scene, while another – a man in his 50s from West Sussex – was taken to hospital.
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Superintendent Abbie Leeson said, “We are aware the community has been both saddened and shocked by this incident and we want to reassure you that our enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.”
