Bognor Regis Town Council is thanking all the volunteers that took part in last Thursday's beach clean.

The community came together as part of this year's Great British Spring Clean initiative by Keep Britain Tidy.

The council says: "Bognor Regis seafront is all the better for it and your amazing efforts and show of 'community spirit' have helped this year's campaign to achieve 1.16 million miles of cleaner and greener British outdoor spaces".

They're also thanking the Town Mayor and Mayoress, the Chairman of Arun District Council, Members of the In Bloom Working Group, Bognor Regis Town Council staff.

The Great British Spring Clean happens every year. Across Britain, 1.16 million miles of British outdoor spaces were made cleaner and greener.

The organisers of the nation wide event's main goal was to cover over a million miles.
