A mother from Bracklesham Bay, diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer, is trying to raise £100K for life-saving treatment in Mexico.
40-year-old Camilla Chapman has four young children and was unexpectedly diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in February this year.
Camilla described the moment she heard the terrible news: "I had the call saying I needed to speak to the consultant, and that day our world went black. He said it was cancer and it's in the cardiac section, which is just at the opening of your stomach".
But despite hearing that the cancer is terminal, Camilla has not given up hope, and she is turning to a hospital in Mexico operated by doctors from America using pioneering holistic, non-toxic therapies to try to save her life.
It's terrible for anyone who has been diagnosed with any form of terminal cancer, but for a mum of four young children and a husband-to-be, it must be heartbreaking.
Camilla said she won't give up "Yes, I believe what the hospital told me in terms of my diagnoses, but I certainly don't believe my prognoses, I'm not a statistic. There are people out there who have been in far worse situations than I'm in who have healed themselves and cured themselves."
