A teenager has been arrested following a stabbing in Littlehampton.
Police say the incident happened on Arun Parade at around 6pm on Wednesday 8 April.
The victim, aged 37, later made his own way to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be serious.
A 15-year-old boy from Horsham has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. He has since been released on bail until 9 July while enquiries continue.
Officers have confirmed there will be an increased police presence in the area as the investigation progresses, with reassurance patrols expected to continue.
Sussex Police have released the following statement: "A teenager has been arrested in connection with a stabbing in Arun Parade, Littlehampton, around 6pm on Wednesday 8 April.
"The victim, aged 37, self-presented to hospital, where he is receiving treatment. His injuries are not believed to be serious.
"The public can expect to see a visible police presence in the area as our enquiries continue, and anyone with any information about the incident is asked to report it online or call 101, quoting serial 1256 of 08/04.
"The suspect, a 15-year-old boy from Horsham, was arrested on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm with intent, and has been bailed until 9 July pending further investigation."
Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant information to come forward as enquiries continue.
