The popular and famous pier finally has a date to reopen after months in lockdown
Brighton Palace Pier, also known as Brighton Pier or the Palace Pier, has a provisional reopening date of 12th April.
That's in line with stage two of the Government's lifting of lockdown, which allows amusement parks and other attractions to reopen so long as covid-19 case numbers are manageable.
They announced the news on Twitter, adding that "dining and drinking in our Horatio's garden and Sunset Garden" and well as "all the rides and outdoor units" will return while "observing all safety measures".
There is still a chance that the dates could be pushed back, as the Government is currently observing lockdown restrictions every five weeks, but for now it means they can get prepared to reopen and bring people back to one of Brighton's most popular tourist destinations.
