A woman from Chichester who inspired and supported countless people through her courage and honesty through her cancer journey has sadly died.

Camilla Chapman passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. Her partner Matt and their boys were by her side in her final moments, which those close to her have described as gentle, calm, and filled with love.

Camilla was known for her strength and determination, particularly in the way she faced serious illness. Friends say she fought with everything she had, driven above all by her love for her children and her commitment to being there for them. Every stage of her journey was shaped by that bond, and by a deep sense of care for those around her.

Through sharing her experiences openly, Camilla built a strong and supportive community. Many people connected with her honesty, vulnerability and resilience, drawing comfort and encouragement from the way she spoke about both the challenges she faced and the moments of hope she held on to. That sense of togetherness became an important part of her life, and something she valued deeply.

Tributes have described Camilla as a source of light, whose compassion and warmth left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Friends say her love and strength will continue to live on through her boys, and through the many lives she touched along the way.

Those close to the family have asked that Matt and the boys are shown kindness, compassion and understanding in the days and weeks ahead.

All of us at V2 Radio who supported Camilla’s fundraising for her cancer treatment are deeply saddened by today’s news. Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones, and we send them our heartfelt support at this incredibly difficult time.
