Chichester Midwife Receives an MBE for Her Service during the Pandemic

A Chichester Midwife has been featured in this year's Queen Birthday Honour's List. 

Kelly Pierce-Nergaard has been recognised for her hard work during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Nergaard, who is based at Western Sussex Hospital as a midwifery matron is "shocked" at the news of her award.

The midwife is credited in providing a vital support tool for families during lockdown through a new portal called 'Family Assist'.

The mum-of-two led the NHS Trust to work with a leading software company to deliver the tool that "came into it's own" for parents during lockdown

Kelly doesn't know who nominated her for the award but praised the support she received.

Her daughter is one of her biggest fan and very proud of her Mum.
