Thirteen community groups have received grants from Mid Sussex District Council totalling more than £43,000.
The news was shared during a meeting of the cabinet, which also heard that a further 11 groups had applied to the fund but were not successful.
The successful groups were:
Ardingly Ladies Stoolball Club (£2,180 for workshops, assemblies, training and one-to-one support in two schools)
Burgess Hill Pantry (£5,000 for the installation of air conditioning)
Ensemble Reza (£5,000 for seven free lunchtime concerts at Haywards Heath Methodist Church from January to June 2026)
Fairer World Lindfield (£1,995 to deliver an environmental events programme)
Grove Garden Charitable Trust (£3,812 to become a social and wellbeing hub all year long, with an all-weather space)
Jolf Golf (£4,000 to deliver accessible golf sessions for eight schools)
Park Centre Burgess Hill (£3,300 for two new projects – the Paperwork Café and Neurodiverse Drop-in Sessions)
The Reanella Trust (£5,000 for the Resilience Recovery Relief Project supporting young people suffering from bipolar disorder)
Respect Youth Club (£1,120 to provide spray paint art workshops, a Christmas disco, a craft and pizza evenings for young people)
Share Haywards Heath (£1,200 for a shed for increasing stock needs)
South Downs Amateur Boxing Club (£2,100 for a series of inclusive, community focused boxing and wellbeing programmes across Burgess Hill)
St Andrew’s (Burgess Hill) Cricket Club (£4,000 to replace single skin cricket nets with a double skin net)
Ten Little Toes Baby Bank (£5,000 for mattresses, toiletries, nappies, wipes and formula milk, due to a 100% annual increase in demand).
The Community Grants fund started the year with £175,449 in the pot. With one round of applications still to come, there is £54,354 left to be awarded.
