It starts tomorrow (8th March)
Gatwick Airport are bringing in a minimum £5 charge for their North Terminal drop off zone from tomorrow.
Payments must be made by midnight the day after the visit to drop off passengers at the forecourt.
The airport recommends that people use the short-stay car parks for pick-ups due to taking longer than drop offs.
Alternatively you can drop off, pick up and park for free for up to 2 hours in the Long Stay car park.
There will be a £1 additional charge for each additional minute after 20 minutes - with a maximum charge and maximum length stay of 30 minutes.
Non-payment will be enforced through Parking Charge Notices at a charge of £100, reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days.
From 12th April the minimum £5 charge will be extended to include the South Terminal drop off zone.
