Council bosses in Arun are encouraging eligible households to ensure they are named on their electricity bills to automatically receive the government's Warm Home Discount this winter.
The eligibility for the discount now includes people receiving one of the following benefits:
- Housing Benefit
- Income related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
- Income based Jobseekers Allowance (JSA)
- Income Support
- Pension Credits (guarantee and savings)
- Universal Credit
Households using pre-paid meters must ensure their account is registered in their name.
The qualifying date for automatic eligibility is Sunday, 24 August 2025. If not automatically matched, you should receive a letter later in the year.
