Felpham shows 142% increase in Covid-19 cases

The seaside town on the West Sussex coast was highlighted as an anomaly in the region's covid cases, but has not been described as an 'area of concern'.

Felpham has shown a starling rise in Covid-19 cases, showing a 142% increase during Friday nights Government briefing. 

Despite this, it is not been marked as an 'area of concern' for the Government, although scientists are keeping an eye on the new Covid hotspot. 

Also during the Friday night briefing, Professor Jonathan Van Tam, England's deputy chief medical officer. said the battle is not over yet despite a strong national vaccine distribution. He's warned people "not to wreck it now" by breaking current Coronavirus lockdown guidelines.
