Four weeks of rubbish likely in Chichester due to Storm Eunice

Chichester District Council have announced no extra bins collections will take place after they were missed due to storm Eunice

The council suspended collections on Friday due to the red weather warning.

Taking to social media Chicester District Council said:

"If your waste or recycling was due to be collected today, please keep hold of this. Our crews will be able to collect excess general waste on your next scheduled general waste collection day.

Likewise, we’ll also be able to collect excess recycling on your next scheduled recycling collection day. We’re really sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but we’ve made this decision to keep everyone safe"

It could mean some residents Chichester District Council could collect up to 4 weeks' worth of rubbish as the council operates alternative collections.
