Goodwood & The Great Sussex Way announce partnership to drive tourism

The Great Sussex Way, the organisation responsible for promoting tourism within Chichester District, has announced a collaborative partnership with Goodwood,

The partnership focuses on the common goal to attract visitors, near and far, and ensure they experience the very best of what the area has to offer. To achieve that aim, The Great Sussex Way will bring together Goodwood with other local businesses, so the economic benefit of tourism is felt right across the district.

This collaborative and community-focused approach has been a long-standing ethos of the Goodwood Estate with the 10th Duke of Richmond previously serving as the President of Visit Chichester playing a key founding role in the inauguration and early development of the Destination Management Organisation.

Danielle Dunfield, CEO of The Great Sussex Way comments: “We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Goodwood adding their support to our ambitious plans to put the Chichester District firmly on the map. Goodwood’s internationally renowned events are central to our tourism offer, and there are huge opportunities to bring together more of the wider business community.

Andrew Coggings, managing director of Goodwood Entertaining and Hospitality said: “We are delighted to be working with The Great Sussex Way and look forward to sharing the very best of our hospitality with more visitors. Goodwood is open 365 days a year for guests and businesses. In addition to the flagship events Goodwood offers a huge number of different experiences across the estate; golf, flying lessons, cycling, outdoor educational trips, wellbeing treatments, afternoon teas, a field to fork restaurant, farm tours and a farm shop.”

The Great Sussex Way represents the Chichester District, with a remit to increase visitor numbers, and in turn, visitor spend. Their website www.thegreatsussexway.org is a hub of inspiration and information for potential visitors researching short breaks, day trips and holidays. A new selection of itineraries includes themes of stargazing and vineyard discoveries, cycling and watersports, as well as family-focussed suggestions, with the aim to help visitors explore the huge array of things to do on offer in the district in a way that suits their interests.
