A convoy of Harley-Davidsons has helped to cheer up patients and families at St Wilfrid's Hospice in Bosham.
The event today was organised by the Hogsback Chapter, some even got a chance to get up close to the motorbikes and have a ride out, while others who couldn’t manage it, were able to chat about all things Harley Davidson.
V2 Radio's Ian Crouch was at the event:
Harley-Davidson is one of the most iconic motorcycle manufacturers in the world, known for its distinctive style, powerful engines, and deep-rooted American heritage. Founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1903 by William S. Harley and Arthur Davidson, the company quickly became a pioneer in motorcycle design and performance. Over the decades, Harley-Davidson motorcycles have evolved into a symbol of freedom, rebellion, and the open road.
The brand’s bikes are instantly recognisable by their heavyweight build, V-twin engines, and signature rumble. Models such as the Sportster, Softail, and Touring series have become legendary, appealing to a wide range of riders, from weekend cruisers to hardcore enthusiasts. Customisation is a key part of Harley culture, allowing owners to personalise their bikes with unique paint jobs, accessories, and performance upgrades.
