Health leaders in Sussex are urging people to prepare for the colder months and know where to get help if they need it.

The NHS, social care, and voluntary organisations say they’re working together to keep services running safely over winter.

They’re asking residents to plan ahead, use local NHS services wisely, and help protect the community as seasonal illnesses begin to rise.

If you are unsure where to go, NHS 111 is available online, via the NHS App, or by phone 24 hours a day. The service can give advice, connect you to a clinician, or direct you to the most appropriate local service for your needs. Emergency Departments and 999 should always be reserved for life threatening conditions such as chest pain, severe breathing difficulties, or stroke symptoms.
