Horsham school handed £500 towards new books

The grant was secured through the Police Property Act Fund (PPAF), which is a pot of money made up from the sale of found property and from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.

PC Jonny Walker, of the Adur, Worthing and Horsham Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We are delighted to be able to donate this money to such a good cause. Reading is so important to all ages and the enjoyment books bring is invaluable, so hopefully our donation will help the school update its reading selection for all the pupils.”

Headteacher Ian Holmes added: “We are passionate about reading at Holbrook Primary School as it is the key to learning every other subject. This kind donation will help provide a selection of books that will enrich our curriculum and be enjoyed by children for years to come. Thank you.”
