Keep Dogs on Leads in South Downs National Park

Dog owners have been warned to control their animals on the South Downs as the lambing season is in full swing.

It follows an incident in the Ashdown Forest after a deer was killed by a dog in the same field as pregnant Hebridean ewes.

According to NFU Mutual, last year, dogs severely injured or killed livestock worth over a hundred thousand pounds in the Southeast.
