Leader of Chichester District Council highlights Jubilee events

The Leader of Chichester District Council, Councillor Eileen Lintill, is hoping people can take part in a number of activities to mark the Platinum Jubilee.

Locally, there are many events and activities taking place and street parties which have been organised across the district.

On Friday June 3rd, the Chichester Farmers' Market will be helping people prepare for the weekend celebrations with fresh produce from 9am until 2pm. On the same day, Chichester Cathedral is hosting a Jubilee Picnic on their green between 12pm and 3pm.

On Saturday June 4th there will be a Jubilee Celebration at Cowdray Ruins in Midhurst between 12pm and 4pm, while in Chichester the city council is organising a Gala Procession and Family Fun Day from 11am onwards.

On Sunday June 5th there will be a Jubilee Jamboree and Air Show in Selsey from 9am until 9pm; while Petworth will be holding a big lunch in the Market Square from 12pm - 3pm; and Southbourne Parish Council is organising a 'Picnic in the Park' at the Recreation Ground from 11am - 3pm.
