Residents in Southwick are being reminded they have the opportunity to meet their local police team later this week.
Neighbourhood officers will be holding a drop-in session at Southwick Community Centre on Friday afternoon, giving residents the chance to speak directly with police about any issues or concerns in their area. The event is designed to be informal and accessible, allowing people to ask questions, raise local problems and get practical advice.
Officers will be on hand to discuss crime prevention, including ways to protect homes and personal property, as well as offering guidance on spotting and avoiding fraud. Police say these types of events are particularly useful for sharing up-to-date information about common scams and helping residents feel more confident about reporting concerns.
The session is open to everyone and no appointment is needed. Residents can drop in at any point during the event to have a conversation with neighbourhood officers from Sussex Police.
In addition to police advice, there will also be information available relating to Adur District Council services, offering wider support and guidance on local issues affecting the community.
The Southwick Residents Drop In – Meet Your Local Team event takes place on Friday 20 February 2026, between 2pm and 3.30pm. It will be held in the Deall Room at Southwick Community Centre.
Police say they are keen to encourage as many residents as possible to attend, stressing that the event is not just for reporting crime, but also for building relationships, sharing concerns and helping to keep the local community safe.
