
Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was stabbed in broad daylight on Worthing seafront.
The incident happened just after 1.15pm on Wednesday, 1 October, when three teenagers, one armed with a knife, were seen chasing another along Marine Parade, near the junction with West Street.
An 18-year-old man suffered a hand injury and was treated by members of the public before being taken to hospital. His condition is not believed to be life-threatening.
The three suspects, all described as white and wearing black hooded tops, fled west along Marine Parade.
Police quickly attended the scene and enquiries are ongoing. The force has confirmed that residents and visitors will see an increased police presence in the area throughout the evening.
Detectives are urging anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have dashcam or mobile phone footage, to come forward immediately.
