Final preparations are under way for the official reopening of Selsey’s newly transformed Manor Green Park.
The park will welcome visitors from Tuesday 2 September, boasting a host of new attractions including a dedicated dog park, themed children’s play areas, a climb-on tram, and a wheelchair-accessible trampoline.
The redevelopment is divided into three themed zones:
-
The Main Tram Stop – Featuring a climb-on tram structure, a wheelchair-accessible trampoline, five inclusive play features, and the Manhood Peninsula’s first parkour playground.
-
Rainbow Hill – The first rainbow mound in the Chichester District, offering slides, bouncy springers, and climbing balls in a vibrant wet-pour play zone for younger children.
-
The Bark Park – A free-to-use agility course for dogs, complete with tunnels, jumps, and a “Top Dog” podium.
Selsey Town Council says the improvements aim to provide an affordable day out for local families at a time when the cost of living is putting pressure on household budgets. The addition of a Changing Places toilet and a wide range of accessible play equipment means the park has been designed for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy together.
The official opening marks the completion of a significant investment in one of Selsey’s key green spaces, which the council hopes will become a year-round destination for residents and visitors alike.
