Selsey’s Manor Green Park ready to reopen after major revamp

Final preparations are under way for the official reopening of Selsey’s newly transformed Manor Green Park.

The park will welcome visitors from Tuesday 2 September, boasting a host of new attractions including a dedicated dog park, themed children’s play areas, a climb-on tram, and a wheelchair-accessible trampoline.

The redevelopment is divided into three themed zones:

  • The Main Tram Stop – Featuring a climb-on tram structure, a wheelchair-accessible trampoline, five inclusive play features, and the Manhood Peninsula’s first parkour playground.

  • Rainbow Hill – The first rainbow mound in the Chichester District, offering slides, bouncy springers, and climbing balls in a vibrant wet-pour play zone for younger children.

  • The Bark Park – A free-to-use agility course for dogs, complete with tunnels, jumps, and a “Top Dog” podium.

Selsey Town Council says the improvements aim to provide an affordable day out for local families at a time when the cost of living is putting pressure on household budgets. The addition of a Changing Places toilet and a wide range of accessible play equipment means the park has been designed for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy together.

The official opening marks the completion of a significant investment in one of Selsey’s key green spaces, which the council hopes will become a year-round destination for residents and visitors alike.
