Sussex Police and Partners Take Part in Spiking Intensification Week

Sussex Police joined police forces nationwide last week for Spiking Intensification Week.

It was a national week of action to raise awareness to combat spiking, protect the public and bring perpetrators to justice.

Working with partners, officers, and staff, they carried out a range of engagement and intensification activities, visiting schools, colleges, and community groups across the county to educate people on the dangers of spiking.

Home Secretary James Cleverly visited Sussex on Thursday (21 March) to see how much work goes into combatting spiking.

Officers and partners in Crawley talked about the importance of community engagement and working with licensed venues to keep people safe and catch offenders.
