Two boys aged 14 and 16 have been released on bail following their arrests in connection with the death of 16-year-old Joshua Ingram in Seaford.

Both were detained on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. The younger of the two also faces an additional allegation of suspicion of possessing a firearm. Their bail has been set for late November and December.

Joshua Ingram died on 10 September after suffering stab wounds at Seaford railway station. Emergency services were called to the scene, but he was pronounced dead a short time later. His death has prompted shock and concern in the local community, with tributes left near the station in the days following the incident.

A third teenager, also aged 16, was arrested at the scene shortly after the attack. He has since appeared in court and remains in custody.

Sussex Police say enquiries into Joshua’s death are ongoing, with officers continuing to appeal for witnesses and information that may help the investigation. They have stressed that a large and complex inquiry remains under way, supported by specialist teams.

Detectives are also working closely with local schools and community organisations to provide reassurance to young people and residents affected by the case.

Joshua’s family have paid tribute to him as a much-loved son and brother, describing his death as a devastating loss. They have asked for privacy while they continue to grieve.
