Worthing care provider fined thousands of pounds

A care provider in Worthing has been told to pay nearly £25,000 in fines after the death of a resident.

The Care Quality Commission says Offington Park Care Home, run by Claremont Care Services, failed to ensure the safety of a 75-year-old man who fell multiple times.

The CQC say staff failed to follow best practice guidelines by not seeking treatment or recording the injury.

The resident died in February 2020 following a traumatic head injury.
