The Cat & Rabbit Rescue Centre Summer Fayre

The popular event will take place at the Centre in Sidlesham on Sunday 9 August, with gates open from 10.30am to 3.30pm. Entry is just £3, with under 16s admitted free, and there is free parking available.

The Summer Fayre is one of the charity's biggest fundraising events of the year and plays a vital role in helping fund the care of hundreds of cats, rabbits and guinea pigs that arrive at the Centre every year.

Visitors will be able to enjoy a traditional summer fayre packed with attractions for all ages, including the ever-popular bottle tombola, bric-a-brac stalls, clothing stalls, a bouncy castle and family games. New for this year is the "Crockery Smash or Save", where visitors can decide whether to safely rescue a piece of crockery or enjoy smashing it instead.

There will also be live music throughout the day from talented local singers, alongside a wide variety of independent craft stalls and local traders offering unique gifts and handmade products.

Food and refreshments will be available throughout the day, including sandwiches, hot dogs, tea, coffee, cakes and a tuck shop full of sweet treats for children.

Animal lovers will also have the opportunity to take a walk around the Rescue Centre and meet some of the cats, rabbits and guinea pigs currently looking for new homes. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions about the adoption process, and visitors may even find their perfect new companion.
