Football fans across the South can look forward to a busy weekend of action, with teams at every level involved in important fixtures both home and away.

Brighton & Hove Albion make the trip along the south coast on Saturday afternoon as they take on Bournemouth in a 3pm Premier League kick-off. The Seagulls will be hoping to continue their strong start to the season and build momentum against Andoni Iraola’s side at the Vitality Stadium. Brighton’s travelling supporters are expected in good numbers, with the game seen as a chance to test the squad’s depth ahead of a challenging run of fixtures later this month.

On Sunday, attention turns to one of the south coast’s fiercest rivalries, as Portsmouth travel to St Mary’s to face Southampton in a much-anticipated derby. Kick-off is scheduled for 1pm, and the atmosphere is expected to be electric. With both clubs carrying strong early-season form, bragging rights will be on the line in a match that means as much to the fans as it does in the standings.

Elsewhere in the Football League, Crawley Town are at home on Saturday afternoon, taking on Cheltenham Town. The Red Devils will be looking to put on a show for their supporters at the Broadfield Stadium, with kick-off at 3pm. Crawley have been aiming for consistency in recent weeks, and today’s fixture offers a valuable opportunity to pick up points against League Two opposition.

In non-league football, Worthing face a long journey as they travel to the Channel Islands for their clash against Jersey Bulls. The Rebels, who have made a positive start in their division, will be looking to maintain momentum despite the challenges of an away day across the water.

Bognor Regis Town are also on their travels, heading to Surrey to face Raynes Park Vale. The Rocks will be hoping to bounce back after a mixed run of results and return to winning ways in front of their loyal away support.

Chichester City are away too, taking on Whitstable Town in Kent. The fixture will be another test for Chi City, who are working to climb the table and put together a run of form as autumn fixtures come thick and fast.

Back on home soil, Selsey’s first men’s team return to league action this afternoon. They host Dorking Wanderers at the High Street Ground, with kick-off also at 3pm. The club has been keen to build on recent performances, and the home crowd will be hoping to see the team deliver points against tough opposition.

With Premier League, EFL, and non-league sides all in action, it promises to be an exciting weekend of football for supporters across the South..
