Bus driver shot dead outside London pub named by police

A bus driver shot dead outside a south London pub has been named by police.

He has now been identified as Auguste-Marie Bile-aka Amoa, 25, by the Metropolitan Police.

Police were called to reports of gunshots on Willington Road, Clapham, at roughly 10pm on Monday.

Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 22-year-old man who attended hospital with a gunshot wound shortly after the incident was arrested on suspicion of murder on Tuesday.

He remains in hospital under police guard.

Detective chief inspector Claire Guiver, who is leading the investigation, said: "Our thoughts remain with Bile-aka's family as they come to terms with this tragic incident."

Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
