The A27 at Southbourne has reopened after being closed earlier this morning following a medical emergency.
Emergency services were called to the area shortly before 5am after concerns were raised for the welfare of a girl. Police and ambulance crews attended the scene, and the girl was taken to hospital.
The incident led to the A27 being closed in both directions while emergency services dealt with the situation. The closure caused disruption for early-morning motorists, with traffic diverted while crew worked to ensure the scene was safe and the individual involved received the care she needed.
Police have since confirmed the road has fully reopened and traffic is now moving normally through the area.
