An Arundel man has been jailed for three years for child sex offences.
Lewes Crown Court heard how, 29, Kieran Hornsby, formerly of Canada Road in Arundel, distributed the most serious (category A) indecent images of children on his X account.
Hornsby also admitted sharing voyeuristic images of a woman, who was totally unaware of them having been taken.
He was arrested in March 2023, where several electronic devices were seized and found to contain evidence of distribution of indecent images and material suggesting a sexual interest in children.
Detective Sergeant Paul Hitchcock said: “This was a complex investigation, involving liaison with international prosecutors in Washington DC, as well as victim ID enquiries.
“Thanks to the hard work of the Online Child Abuse Team we have been able to bring a dangerous individual to justice and put him behind bars where he can cause no further harm to the public.
“The matter was thoroughly investigated and we noted that Hornsby used to work as a teaching assistant in a local school, as well as later being a social media personality known for his YouTube channel ‘wecricket’.
“Following close liaison with the safeguarding lead at the school, and the safeguarding leads at England and Wales Cricket Board, we can confirm the charges did not relate to children from the local school, nor are they connected with any cricket-related activity.”
