It's starting on Sunday

Arundel is beginning celebrations for the Queen’s platinum jubilee on Sunday.

The event on Sunday, February 6, will see the planting of a tree in Jubilee Gardens, music from Lancing Brass and readings by local schoolchildren.

Arundel Town Council say the tree is being planted as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy

Lancing Brass will play from 11.15am to celebrate. The Mayor of Arundel will make a speech at 12 noon followed by the tree planting and readings by children from ACE, St Philip's and 1st Arundel Scout Group.

Lancing Brass will continue with a selection of music after the tree has been planted.

Visitors are being encouraged to make a day of it and check out what's on offer in local pubs, restaurants and independent shops.
