Eighteen friends from the Pink Pub in Bognor have set off on a two-thousand-mile journey to play football inside the Arctic Circle.
They’re taking on the challenge in memory of James Palmer-Bullock from Chichester, who died from a brain haemorrhage last year.
The trip will see them play five matches in five days across five countries, finishing in Norway.
The Route: Brussels
Hamburg
Copenhagen
Stockholm
Henningsvær (Arctic Circle)
The football legend that is Harry Redknapp had this to say about the team on social media:
But this is about more than just football, for those involved, it’s about making a lasting impact. The team are raising vital funds for two charities:
- Children on the Edge – Providing crucial support to vulnerable children worldwide
- The Sussex Snowdrop Trust – Offering nursing care and financial assistance to children with life-threatening illnesses
They want to raise a minimum of £50,000 to help transform lives. http://www.givengain.com/project/pinkpub2ac
