Bognor Regis War Memorial Hospital will now be able to create up to 1,700 X-Ray images and 350 ultrasounds a month thanks to new pieces of kit, which have now been unveiled.

Roger Turner, the Deputy Lieutenant of West Sussex and the President of the Bognor Regis Lions International attended the unveiling of the X-Ray and Ultrasound facilities alongside Bognor Regis Councillor Pat Dillion, NHS Friends and staff.

They bought the new equipment after the Benjamin family, who used to live in the area, made a legacy donation to the hospital.

Recently, data from a national benchmarking exercise revealed the hospital leads the way in England for the amount of X-Rays which are taken when taking the number of staff members into consideration.

As a result, the hospital - which comes under Sussex Community NHS will now be able to help hundreds more patients.
