Visitors who wish to access Brighton's Palace Pier will have to pay a fee of one pound as of the end of the month.
Management says it is due to a substantial increase in operating costs over the past five years.
However, if you are a resident of Brighton and Hove, you will not be required to pay the fee.
Instead, you will need to register for an online exemption card.
