The team at Barlow's Services will be running around the world and completing a million press-ups to raise money for local children’s hospice, Chestnut Tree House.

This will involve 24 members of staff running 3,340 km and doing 83,000 press-ups every month for the whole of 2021.

Darren Brown, the Director of Barlow's Services, suggested the extreme challenge to help motivate his team and boost their morale as they continue to work from home.

Quality Manager Adam Reeves said, “In January, we ran 4,770km and achieved 52,583 press-ups.

"This is a great start, and we are proud of that!

"We know that as we get further into the year, the challenge will become harder.

"So, every month we are offering incentives to keep the team motivated.”

The company has set a fundraising target of £5,000 throughout the year and will be splitting their total between Cancer Research UK and Chestnut Tree House.
