The Watoto Children’s Choir from Uganda is set to perform in Bognor Regis next month.
The choir will appear at St Wilfrid Church on 24 June, performing songs from their new album, Better Days – There Is Hope. The group is made up of children from Uganda, in East Africa, and is known for combining singing, dancing and personal storytelling as part of its live performances. Watoto Children’s Choirs have travelled extensively since 1994, with performances taking place around the world throughout the year. The tours give audiences the chance to hear directly from the children, learn about their lives, and experience music rooted in Ugandan culture and community. Organisers say the concert will focus on themes of resilience, restoration and hope, while also highlighting the work of Watoto in supporting children and young people. The performance in Bognor Regis is expected to offer a colourful and uplifting evening for families, friends and members of the wider community. The choir’s visit forms part of its international tour, giving people in West Sussex the opportunity to hear music and stories from young performers who have travelled from Uganda to share their experiences. The concert takes place at St Wilfrid Church in Bognor Regis on Wednesday 24 June. Get the latest BREAKING NEWS for the SOUTH on your phone by downloading the V2 RADIO APP today!
