Fire station prepares for first car wash of the year to raise money for Fire Fighters Charity

Firefighters at Haywards Heath Fire Station are calling on the muckiest cars around to join them for their charity car wash this Saturday.

The crew will be welcoming drivers to the station on Mill Green Road between 10am and 2pm and putting their car washing skills into action in return for a donation to The Fire Fighters Charity, either by cash, text or QR code.

Firefighter Fran Cook said: “The Fire Fighters Charity carries out such important work in supporting firefighters and their families that we just wanted to do our bit to help raise some money for such a worthwhile cause.

“With the recent bad weather, we are expecting some very dirty vehicles to present themselves to us, but we are more than up for the challenge! We hope to see as many people as possible at the fire station between 10am and 2pm on Saturday.”
