Goodwood Revival is set to welcome 1997 Formula 1 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve, who will both compete in the event’s Royal Automobile Club TT Celebration.

Villeneuve will return to Goodwood in September - having driven Niki Lauda’s Ferrari 312 B3 at the Festival of Speed this year – and make his Revival in a 1963 AC Cobra.

One of only a few drivers to win both the Formula 1 World Championship and the Indy 500, Villeneuve has enjoyed an incredibly versatile motorsport career, competing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Daytona 500, FIA World Endurance Championship and NASCAR. Known for his fearless driving style, Villeneuve will compete at the Goodwood Revival for the first time this year.

Formula 1 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve said: “I am very excited to be participating in the RAC TT Celebration. It was really frustrating to see all my friends having a blast racing it last year while I was stuck watching. Driving the Cobra on such a fun track will be an exceptional moment, can’t wait!”

The Duke of Richmond CBE DL said: "Every year, we are privileged to welcome some of the world’s greatest drivers and riders to the Goodwood Revival. Drawing on experience from across the breadth of motorsport, these competitors turn their skill and passion to historic racing, often facing rivals they’d never otherwise meet on the track. I’m grateful to them for taking the time to join us over the weekend and look forward to seeing them in action.”
