Local lifeboat station wants new volunteers

How do you fancy joining the RNLI as a volunteer? Well, the local lifeboat station at Rye Harbour is inviting those interested to apply.

They are looking for Shore Crew members to assist in the safe dispatch of RNLI Lifeboats, as well as maintaining the lifeboat station and the equipment that they keep stored. You must be a team player, a good communicator, and due to the physical nature of the role you must be reasonably fit. Volunteers must also be aged between 17 and 65.

There are various volunteer shift patterns available for those interested, and more information can be found on the RNLI website here.
