A man has died after falling from a hot air balloon in Wisborough Green this morning.
Police confirmed they were called to reports of a man falling from a balloon near Newpound Common shortly after 9.20am on Friday, 19 September.
Following an extensive search involving neighbourhood officers, specialist search teams, police drones and dogs, the body of a man was discovered in a field at around 1.50pm.
It is understood he had been part of a group taking a flight from Billingshurst to Dunsfold.
Formal identification has not yet taken place, and enquiries are continuing into the circumstances of the incident. At this stage, police say the death is not being treated as suspicious.
