Emergency services were called to the High Street shortly before seven this morning, following concerns for a man’s welfare.
Sussex Police say the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene, and there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances. A file is now being prepared for the HM Coroner.
The High Street was temporarily closed between Sudley Road and Lyon Street, but the road has since reopened.
V2 Radio's Garry Booker, was on scene this morning said: "There's a police presence, pretty much outside the Royal Mail building in Bognor Regis and it's all cordoned off with a blue tent in front".
Sussex Police have released the following statement to media:
"Emergency services were called to High Street, Bognor at around 6.40am this morning (16 December) to a report of concern for a man’s welfare.
"The man was sadly declared deceased at the scene.
"There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances and police will prepare a report for HM Coroner.
"A temporary road closure was in place in High Street between the junctions of Sudley Road and Lyon Street, this has since been lifted."
