A prolific shoplifter from Worthing has been jailed for 12-months.
39-year-old Karlie Everson, of no fixed address, was sentenced at Crawley Magistrates’ Court this month.
Between November last year and May, she stole more than 2-thousand-2-hundred pounds worth of goods.
Items included coffee, meat, butter, cheese, and laundry products.
Sergeant Amelia Roberts said: “I’m pleased to see this prolific offender brought to justice.
“Sussex Police recognises the impacts shoplifting has on businesses and employees, especially those who are repeatedly targeted.
“We will remain relentless in our efforts to tackle shoplifting, from catching offenders to working with businesses and partners to ensure community safety.”
