The revamped Manor Green Park now features themed playgrounds, a dog park, and a tribute to the historic tram route that once crossed the site.
It’s been designed with inclusivity in mind — with accessible play equipment and a Changing Places toilet to ensure people of all ages and abilities can join in.
The launch today runs from 10:30am to 12:30pm and will include limited free ice creams for children and goody bags for children and dogs, provided by installer Eibe Play Ltd.
The park is split into three main areas:
-
The Main Tram Stop — with a climb-on tram, inclusive play features, a wheelchair-accessible trampoline, and the Manhood Peninsula’s first parkour playground.
-
Rainbow Hill — the district’s first rainbow mound, with slides, climbing balls, and bouncy play equipment for younger children.
-
And The Bark Park — a free agility course for dogs, complete with tunnels, jumps, and even a “Top Dog” podium.
With the cost of living continuing to bite, Selsey Town Council hopes the new park will offer families an affordable day out close to home.
