Police are investigating following a serious collision between a car and a pedestrian in Hastings.
The incident occurred on Bohemia Road at around 5.05pm on Sunday, 18 January.
The pedestrian, man in his 40s, was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.
A section of the road was closed while enquiries were carried out.
A 72-year-old man, from Hastings, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving. He remains in custody at this time.
Police are appealing for witnesses and are urging anyone who saw what happened, or who has any relevant dash cam, CCTV or mobile footage, to contact us.
