Residents across West Sussex are being encouraged to get creative and make handmade white hearts as part of a campaign to spread kindness and raise awareness of support services.
The Your Community Cares campaign is calling on people to knit, crochet or create felt hearts, which will be handed out to passengers and railway staff at stations across West Sussex on Thursday 26 November.
The initiative aims to encourage kindness, start positive conversations and make railway stations feel safer and more welcoming for everyone.
Each heart will be accompanied by an information card directing people towards specialist support services, helping those experiencing difficulties understand where they can turn for assistance.

The campaign is being organised by Southeast Communities Rail Partnership CIC in collaboration with West Sussex County Council's Community Safety and Wellbeing team.
It also forms part of wider efforts to tackle violence against women and girls and strengthen connections within local communities.
Councillor Tracie Bangert, West Sussex County Council's cabinet member for community support, fire and rescue, is encouraging residents to get involved.
She said: “Every heart counts. By donating one, you're helping us spread kindness, raise awareness of support services and remind people in our community that they're not alone.
“If you're not a crafter yourself, but know friends or family who are, please encourage them to take part.”
Organisers say anyone can participate, regardless of their crafting experience.
The hearts can be knitted, crocheted or made from white felt, with any pattern or design welcome, provided they measure no more than 10 centimetres.
Completed hearts should be dropped off at any West Sussex library by Monday 16 November.
The initiative builds on previous community railway campaigns using handmade hearts to promote compassion, safety and awareness of services available to people experiencing abuse or harassment.
Residents wishing to take part can find their nearest collection point through the West Sussex County Council library directory.
