The ECB is investigating an incident involving England player Brydon Carse, after footage emerged showing the bowler handcuffed by police outside a Derby nightclub on Saturday night.
In a statement to Sky Sports News, the ECB confirmed is it aware of the incident.
A video obtained by The Telegraph shows Carse with police, with a Durham team-mate talking to him. Former England captain Ben Stokes is also pictured.
According to The Telegraph, Carse was briefly detained by police but not arrested. He returned to the team hotel soon after and it is unclear what led the police placing him in handcuffs.
Carse was part of England's squad for the first Test against Pakistan at Headingley but was not in the starting XI, so was released to play for his county.
The Division Two leaders comfortably beat Derbyshire, with Carse taking two wickets and Stokes taking a five-for.
Carse was set to be part of the squad for England's second Test vs Pakistan, which begins at Lord's on Thursday. The team will assemble in London on Monday.
Sky Sports News has contacted Derbyshire Police and the Cricket Regulator for comment.
