A West Sussex sight loss charity is calling on people to lace up their walking boots and take part in its biggest fundraising event of the year.
4Sight Vision Support is holding its annual Walk on the Angmering Park Estate on Saturday, 16 May, at 10am.
The event will raise vital funds to support the charity’s work providing specialist advice, information and practical support to people across West Sussex who are blind or partially sighted.
The 10-mile walk offers participants the chance to explore beautiful countryside on the Angmering Park Estate, an area which is not usually open to the public.
There is no registration fee to take part, but 4Sight Vision Support is asking walkers to pledge a minimum of £25 through sponsorship or donation.
The charity says everyone is welcome, including people living with sight loss. Guides can be provided if required, and 4SVS may also be able to help with transport. Anyone needing accessibility information is encouraged to contact the charity directly.
Dogs are welcome on the walk, but must be kept on leads at all times. Refreshments will also be provided during and after the event.
4Sight Vision Support receives no county funding and relies heavily on community fundraising to continue delivering its services to residents across West Sussex.
The charity says support from walkers, donors and local communities makes a real difference to people living with sight loss.
