Police in Chichester are appealing for information following a reported assault on a young boy inside a supermarket.
Officers say the incident happened at the Aldi store on Barnfield Drive on 4 March, between 5pm and 5.30pm.
According to police, the boy had accidentally bumped into a man inside the shop shortly before the alleged assault took place.
Sussex Police have confirmed that enquiries are ongoing and have now released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
Investigators believe the individual shown in the images may be able to help with their enquiries and are urging members of the public to come forward if they recognise him.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has information that could assist the investigation, is asked to contact Sussex Police.
Reports can be made online via the Sussex Police website, quoting serial 1173 of 04/03.
